Long reports can make people feel that they do not relate to them while a colleagues description of a real situation has an more informative effect. The objective of this report, brought to life by the Estonian Employers’ Confederation, was to mediate experience from one employer to another in the field of collective labour relations.
Our role was to prepare background information for round tables – choose topics with the Estonian Employers’ Confederation which could be of interest to people and find enterprises which could share experience related to these topics. Case studies were carried out in companies and their summaries were used as background materials for participants in the round table discussion.
The scope of the discussed topics was quite wide, dealing with the termination of collective contracts, topics related to the representatives of employees and „inherited“ collective contract problems related to buying a structural unit. Altogether seven case studies were carried out and help was given to develop recommendations based on the results to improve legal framework.
The project was commissioned by the Estonian Employers’ Confederation and co-funded by the European Social Fund.
