Janno received his PhD in economics from the University of Tartu in 2011. The phrase “all-in-one” is a good description of Janno’s role in Centar. In some form or other, either as an adviser or a researcher, Janno provides an input into every single research project that passes through Centar. Janno has lead research and consultation projects from working conditions and cost-effectiveness of education to providing valuations for businesses and infrastructure investments. Some of the more interesting research projects that Janno has been involved in are PIAAC survey report “Usefulness of Skills on the Labour Market” and the research ordered by the Estonian Health Insurance Fund “Analytical Assessment of the Method for Calculating DRG Reference Price and Price Limits”. Janno’s ongoing jobs include the development of a survey on private sector commitment and, as an officially certified financial expert, providing company valuations.
